Figure 4: Effect of rice hull extract on lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced nuclear factor-κB (NF-κB) activation in macrophage cells Cells were treated with LPS (1 μg/ml) with or without rice hull extract (200 μg/ml) for 1 h. Cytosolic and nuclear fractions were then prepared using a nuclear extraction kit. IκBα and NF-κB contents of the cytosolic and nuclear fractions were analyzed by Western blot. Equal protein loading was confirmed by blotting for anti-β-actin and histone H1. An immunoblot representative of three independent experiments is shown.
